@Bertrude: Even Flückiger himself stated that he drove into Schurter coming from behind. It's quite strange that there is still no official statement from the UCI or an investigation or so.

I bet a complete Sram drivetrain would also have helped. The X-Sync 2 teeth profile is extremely effective at keeping the chain on. But who knows... maybe he is running a chainguide from now on :D .

Maybe he is running his 34 SC with 110 mm of travel. Schurter is also running a "down country" fork (SID 35 with 110 mm I believe).

Review: Newmen Evolution A.30 Wheels
I run the SL A.30 wheelset since August 2017. My version only weighs 1663 g. After a lot of use and abuse they are still running perfectly straight and without a single dent. I only had to replace some bearings after 2 years, which is an easy and cheap job. Therefore it's the perfect wheelset for me which comes in for a fair price.
