Commenting on World Cup DH Commentary, Specialized's New Demo, & The DH Bar End Trend
It's funny that they use the eco-poles on the DH track to supposedly save plastic waste: The track is short and it's important that it is taped precisely for 10-12 runs per rider over the week. Then the 4-6x longer enduro tracks that see 2x runs per rider have kilometres of traditional tape on them. I saw a truck drive by in La Thuile last year after they had been clearing the enduro trails, there was 100-ish bin bags full of tape on the back of it.
