First Ride: Priority Vanth - A High-Pivot Belt Driven Gearbox Bike
@JaKowz: agreed. Lots of great places to showcase its abilities and having ridden it on trails that we've done on conventional bikes as well, we're pretty confident people are not going to walk away from a test ride concluding it's unrideable. Certainly not going to have the spriteliness of a lighter, conventional bike so if you're doing a lot of gradient changes and on then off the gas riding, it's probably not for you, but if you got terrain chunky enough to warrant it, I think you'll understand the tradeoffs for the descending performance. We'll definitely keep the NEMBA events in mind, we'd love to own our backyard in terms of demoing these for interested folks.

@colincolin: that seems like something you should take up with your pre-Roman forebearers! It's named after an Etruscan goddess of the afterworld :)

Priority Bikes Announces New High Pivot Enduro with Pinion Smart.Shift & Gates Belt Drive
main body of the comments are on the first ride review. Plenty of controversy to be had there and we're all for it I don't think it's any secret uphill is not this thing's core competency but I do think it's worth repeating the overwhelmingly consistent feedback that it's a competent descender. We knew that coming into it but I also think there are plenty who will given the opportunity to try in person, will make the conclusion that the tradeoff is worth it. It's not a bike for everyone, we get that, but what it does well, it does really well. Never did I ever think we'd see the day when the primary concern of the PB audience was pedaling efficiency... Time makes fools of us all :)

demo events are definitely on the radar and Thunder Mtn would be a great venue for it. A good bit of testing was done there and it's a great park bike.

@Mr-Gilsch: trust me, like most who've spent any amount of time in the bike industry, we're team metric ;) Now if only we could get the automotive industry to stop mixing imperial and metric values for tire size standards...

@Ark530abe: got it, yes so that's definitely not the stock weight. Kitted with DD tires like how you'll actually find high level riders run em, plenty of other enduro bike comps will see you over the 40 lbs mark. We've spoken to elite level enduro racers looking to ride under the Priority banner who haven't been bothered by the weight since a) their discipline obviously isn't timed on the ups and b) their current rigs aren't that much lighter all said and done. Nevertheless, appreciate the feedback. Said elsewhere but we were fully cognizant the tire spec was going to be an issue for some. Knowing so many A-tier brands still make this mistake and get dinged for it, we balanced sticker price and headline weight, knowing those are where we would need the most help. Keep in mind the bike will ship set up for tubeless but with a bottle of sealant uninstalled, so you can take the stock tires off right away and swap them for exactly what you want. They're still a desireable aftermarket spec for lighter/less aggressive riders that have resale value on PB buy/sell and I suspect many are going to want to throw a set of radials on here.

@Sscottt: Definitely a cornerstone of our brand. I know we're not a household name in MTB (though obviously looking to change that) but any testimonials you'll see from our customers, which are very different and in some ways less sophisticated than the PB readership (the amount of "bike rides funny" when the fork is on backwards cases we get are a little higher than I bet Yeti gets), will show that we take customer service very seriously. We recognize the leap of faith it takes to drop this level of coin on a darkhorse brand with a strange German gearbox so anything we can do to make the ownership journey easier, we're game for. No AI chatbot answers, no waiting months for basic replacement parts, real humans that live and breathe this stuff 365 days a year.

@stevemokan: you're not wrong, though I think it hasn't occurred to us (or Pinion for that matter) since typically these things have been found on bikepacking/touring bikes where those first 1,000 kms go by pretty quick and under riders generally more happy to pedal than the average PB commenter ;) It's a good thought though and something we will bring up with the Teutonic mothership edit: spelng hrd
