Yeah dudes, front chainring/bashguard is a must moving forward! Doesn't seem like a common thing for the chain to come off and then the sprocket to chew a hole in you this size, but take it from me & my experience, you don't wanna go thru this!! my chain came off while riding, my right foot slipped forward off the pedal and touched down on the ground for a spilt second, and then jammed my leg into the front of the crank sprocket... check out the youtube vid "last ride 10-11-14", thanks for the positive vibes dude!
