Dec 8, 2020Yeti SB-6 Carbon Large
$3900 USDWhat I’m selling:
2017 Yeti SB-6 Carbon. 6 inches of travel front and rear. 27.5” wheels. With Yeti’s patented Switch technology, which allows this bike to pedal a lot more efficiently than it should for how burly it is. If you’ve never ridden a Yeti, this is a game changer.
This is a top of the line bike to begin with but I’ve also thrown tons of upgrades at it, including carbon wheels, Enve carbon handlebars, and Shimano brakes (the best in the business). It’s been meticulously maintained by an authorized Yeti dealer with regular service of the suspension and pivots. I’ve invested more money than I want to think about caring for this bike. The chain is brand new (literally 0 miles on it) and the chainring and cassette both have less than 100 miles on them. The brake rotors were replaced 2 months ago. The Switch was replaced about a year ago. It had a $300 service of the fork, shock, Switch, and pivots 3 months ago.
My experience on this bike:
Mountain biking has been one of the central parts of my life for over 13 years. I’ve owned countless bikes and this one is by far the most fun bike I’ve ever owned. It makes any trail playful, from flat and smooth XC trails, where it can be light and poppy, to the gnarliest descent you could throw at it, where it will gobble up roots, rocks, drops, or jumps. Buying this bike will easily be the fastest way towards having more fun on whatever trails you like to ride!
Why I’m selling:
I’m sad that I have to let go of it and wouldn’t be parting with it if I didn’t have a shoulder surgery coming up in a few days. I’ve got over 6 months until I can be back on a bike again, but as soon as I get the green light from my doctor to ride again, I’m for sure going to get another Yeti. They make the most well-balanced bikes and I think I’ll be a Yeti rider for life.
The imperfections:
Mechanically this bike is in pristine condition and is riding nearly as well as the day I bought it. Shifting is flawless, suspension is still buttery smooth. This bike has a ton of life left it. Cosmetically, it has a few scratches to the paint, most notably on the left side of the top tube and a scratch on the rear triangle near the derailleur. The cranks have wear marks. The seat has a small tear (happened shortly after I got the bike but hasn’t increased in side at all). See photos.
