@NateTrailBlazer: It's just a term, but "content creator" is somewhat synonymous with a human version of AI slop IMO. Emphasis on volume and view-count with as little effort as possible, creating digital plastic to throw into an ocean already filled with disposable digital plastic. In this case, something like "The Ridge" got 82M views, but I would count those as actual meaningful views, vs. today's metrics of "content creation," where people are mindlessly swiping their phones and what they've just seen 10 seconds ago is forever forgotten from their mind, vs. something like those early Danny Mac projects being actually memorable and referenced over a decade later. They took time/ skill to plan, conceptualize and bring to reality. Is it all technically the creation of content? Sure. Is there a distinction in what that term means today - I'd argue... yup.

Martin Scorsese is one of my favourite content creators, right up there with Mr. Beast and that channel that reacts to other Youtube videos - you know, that one. Always appreciated the thoughtful planning and execution that went into Stu's films. Hopefully there's still room for considered, artistic expression outside of a 10s runtime in all our future...
