Desert Trail Bike Park in Mesa, AZ. Recker/McDowell intersection. Most fun spot I know of to ride in the Valley, but trails are very short and need DJ, hard tail or BMX. DH bikes too heavy!. Black line is f*cking serious, even Blue will challenge expert riders.

South Mountain: West of the Saddle but east of Telegraph Pass on an unmaintained and very rarely used trail. Never seen anyone else on it but has some cool, fast, steep sections and bone-rattling rock gardens. Look for TH from Saddle by following power lines down to wash, and expect hike-a-bike halfway. Worth it and better than taking DC to the end.
