The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly: Pinkbike Editors' Favorite Mountain Bike Helmets
My fave is whatever fits me well, has a good safety rating (not looking at junk), but ultimately, what sort of deal am I getting on it, I don't care if I'm sporting last year's colours. That's how I helmet shop at my local bike shop. Currently it's a smith forefront 3 which I quite like, in the boring green colour.

The 27.5" Front Wheel Is Dead And I'm More OK With That Than I Ever Thought I Would Be
The bike industry is a business. There's a lot of great smaller companies and shops as well that help innovate and have a passion for riding but ultimately the goal is to make money and continue to give people a reason to buy new bikes. The reality is that wheel size just offers different riding experiences. I know of some guys who are amazing riders on enduro courses rocking their several year old 27.5 bikes. Would they be faster on 29, maybe, but who cares, they're having fun, not spending a ton of money chasing latest trends, and are faster than me on a 'more capable' longer travel 29er. I have a 27.5 wheel specialized kenevo ebike and even though it's a bigger bike and travel, the 'smaller' wheels make it more nimble and ultimately fun, for me to ride.

Specialized Levo R Review: Does a Short Travel, Full Power eMTB Make Sense?
I have a Scott lumen that I've set up at 140/130 and weighing in at 38lb. It has less power and range/capacity than this, but the light weight is what makes it fun but still has a bit of push as an ebike, also have a 160wh extender for longer days. I don't see the draw for this levo r though. just buy an am flow if you want full power.

Specialized vs Santa Cruz vs Carbon Wasp - We Review Each Other's XC Bikes
I have a chisel evo. Put some 1450 gram wheels on it with light/fast tires. Some other upgrades including carbon bars, RF stem, metal brake pads. Such a fun, playful, and overall light bike, that didn't cost a fortune (well vs what an epic in similar upgrades would have).

First Ride: Norco Fluid A1 - Don't Mess With a Winning Recipe
I had a 2017 Scott spark 720, ended up putting 29" wheels on it. 130/120 travel. Aluminum frame, nice build overall. Weighed it at just under 30lb with some light trail tires. That bike took a lot of abuse and had no issues. I know it's slightly less travel than this and tires and other item choices can weight more, but 36lb for this fluid seems wild. I wonder if bike mfr's are worried about warranty claims so they just over-build them at the cost of a few pounds.
