No expense was spared in creating and caring for this bike, but a serious shoulder injury mean't I've barely used it in the last 10 months. Time for it to find a new home where it can get used to it's full potential.
Very little of the bike is as standard so here’s a full spec list:
- Rockshox Pike 160mm RCT3 Solo air (aftermarket with box & spare seals)
- Rockshox Monarch Plus Debonair rear shock (i.e. upgraded to the same shock as on the current model, it’s made specifically for the Slash and is an amazing upgrade over the old standard DRCV) (aftermarket with box & spare seals)
- Custom built wheelset, Stans Flow EX rims (destickered), Dt comp spokes, SRAM X0 rear hub, Nukeproof 15mm front hub. All black.
- Schwalbe Supergravity Trailstar Tyres, Magic Mary Front, Rock Razor Rear. Installed tubeless, with custom aluminium Schrader tubeless valves
- Reverb Stealth 150mm (I bought a new aftermarket 150mm connectamajig one to replace the 125mm that came supplied)
- SRAM X0 Trail Brakes, 200mm front, 180mm rear.
- SRAM X01 11 speed drivetrain (shifter, rear mech, cassette)
- XX1 chain
- SRAM X1 cranks with Works Component direct mount 34t chainring (narrow wide)
- Raceface Atlas FR Stealth Bar, ODI Longneck grips, Gravity light 45mm stem – all black
- Superstar flat pedals in great condition
- SDG Duster Titanium Rail saddle
Forks serviced regularly, shock is about 10 rides old.
When I upgraded the rear shock I replaced all the bearings with the best you can get:
- Enduro max on major pivot and ABP (subject to more radial force/less rotation)
- SKF on the bearings around the rocker link (subject to less radial force/more rotation)
Both hubs have also had bearing changes to SKF bearings.
The bike is in mint condition, cared for by an meticulous engineer and not ridden nearly as much as it deserves.
Questions, viewings, enquiries, offers (reasonable) all welcome.
It’ll be for sale as a full bike for two weeks. After that I’ll probably get impatient and split it / ebay it.
Thanks, Ste
£2500 ono
