@zepper: also, start position isn't determined by XCC standings for world champs... they will both be in the 5th row to start the XCO

Race Analysis: Tense Battles & Last Lap Supremacy at the 2026 Les Gets XC World Cup
@Madfella: Everybody thinks he's not a good bike handler because of his crash at the olympics, but it was because they removed the ramp lol. If you watch him ride, or watch him race CX, dude can handle a bike

Race Analysis: Tense Battles & Last Lap Supremacy at the 2026 Les Gets XC World Cup
I think it's more of a leader's speed-up situation. They have similar times to laps 4-7 on the last, but the leaders got ~30 seconds faster

Race Analysis: Tense Battles & Last Lap Supremacy at the 2026 Les Gets XC World Cup
Your two examples are as good or better bike handlers than most of the field...

O'Callaghan & Hulsebosch Lead Elite Q2 Qualifying at the 2026 Les Gets DH World Cup
@freerideglory: I would be shocked if they spent much more than a million (still a crap ton of money), but also unlike Trek, that team isn't owned by Specialized; they are technically just a name partner/title sponsor. The owner of the team puts a considerable amount of money for R&D as well

Bjorn Riley Presented with Red Bull Helmet at Les Gets XC World Cup
I don't know as much about Monster, but Red Bull is a massive sponsor to land, and something that absolutely should be posted here. As seen in the above comments, I believe Bjorn is the first XC male to land a RB sponsor,.(Pidcock is road, doesn't count) From what I've heard, Red Bull doesn't pay that much as a sponsor but spends a metric sh*t ton of money on recovery, training, etc. for their athletes. Not to mention some pretty sick videos

UCI & WBD Sports Cancel 2027 Enduro World Cup Season
@Motivated: Even local events (CES for me) became much more DH focused. Shuttles/chairlifts for transfers, to me, kind of defeats the purpose of Enduro.
