Kuat Releases 4-Bike "NV" Rack
This summer, Kuat Innovations released a 2-bike add-on for their popular NV rack, in order to create a bona fide 4-bike system. Made with hardcore mountain bike shuttling in mind (and a tray design that prevents frame and component abrasions common to other rack designs and the "over-the-tailgate" approach), the NV 4-Bike delivers a sure-fire and worry-free MTB transportation approach.
Video Inside:The first thing we noticed about the NV was its apparent strength and durability; while many other racks seem a little flimsy or haphazard, the NV was rather imposing with its thick, internally braced structure. Plus, the gray and ano gold color scheme looked pretty snazzy. Burly tire-holding ratcheting arms (which can also accommodate as small as 20" wheels with the included adapter) reinforced this image. After our first trip up the mountain with 4 DH/FR bikes, this image was upheld, and it was great not to have to check to see if the bikes were all OK after every bump in the road.
By the bottom of the trail, the NV's other key feature was in need: the "Trail Doc" bikestand, which is conveniently built right in to the rack itself! Pretty cool extra feature for a rack that's already chock-full of gizmos and gadgets...

I wish I had the money for one of these! I hate tossin' my bike in the back of the suburban every time i want to ride.
