'It's Another Way of Riding' - Filippo Colombo's First Impressions of the Scott Spark 32" Prototype
@fatfalcon: i think it makes sense for some people. I do think it is faster in the XC world, but I don’t ride to be Fast so much as have a good time. And it’s not as fun for me. I am also in the minority of the “short chainstays are better” opinion lately, so I’m usually on that type of bike.

@2supple: Bike manufacturers will make many choices that are based on many factors. sometimes its not financially viable, or mechanically possible to have size specific chainstay lengths. But, you're right, it's a completely different experience. Thats correct, but you just told me my bike doesn't corner well. You're conflating the two and it's wrong.

My bikes got 420mm chain stays with a 480 reach, 64 HTA. quick, use your math and tell me if it's fun or not.
In case you didn't do the math fast enough, the FC:RC ratio is 1.92 ish.
