The insert just rattles around. It does not shrink or compress. I am about to pull them out and throw them in the trash.

I’m sure these work, but I can’t get past the horrible rattle the one in my front tire is making when I bump anything. I thought my fork was falling off. I took off the wheel and shook it and it is just loose and rattling against the rim. I have had them installed for over a month and they do not shrink or compress to the rim. I have them in 27.5 WR1 Agents, DHF 2.5 WT front, Aggressor 2.5 WT DD rear.
