Review: Shimano XT Linkglide - Here For a Good Time AND a Long Time
@stravaismyracecourse: The only thing that works harder and performs better than the labor is the product it's self. I won't disgrace my ride with another Sram product. Shimano works.....period!

Throwback Thursday: The History of Shimano's Cleat Mounting Standard
I remember racing XC in Big Bear CA circa 1989, riding with stiff answer shoes, a half plastic cleat and toe clips, pre-suspension. We ran our Shimano top mount index shift levers under the handlebars and opposite the intended side they should be on. They were either 6 or 7 speed. Shimano had about 10 bikes on trainers with the now legendary M737 pedals. They set us up with shoes and we got to spin the pedals and fill out some feed back forms. I wrote that I would not be using these in the future. Not my first rodeo with clipless, I had LOOK pedals and Shimano shoes for my road bike. Cut to next year, 737's and a new pair of M100 shoes adorned my trusty steed and I have used Shimano pedals ever since despite the initial education process. I still have those first 737's, they live in the bottom of a box of old parts, the bearings have been serviced many times and they are as functional and tough as they were 33 years ago. Thank you Shimano!

First Look: 2022 Trek Top Fuel - A Classic Reimagined
Nod to the old school Fisher Pro Caliber paint job. A classic from the past. I remember getting one circa 1990 and really thought that was the bike. A beautiful steel frame with a 1" head tube. I'll bet this thing climbs like a hungry monkey going for a coconut!!
