"stop handing your agency to corporations" the last thing I'll say on this, feel free to put your money where your mouth is and make a free, open source app to replace Trailforks. Or just gurn on pinkbike about them not running Trailforks for free, whatever works.

@Peskycoots: The charge is for the app, not the data - the website works fine as far as I know. Last time I checked, the copyright licence for the trails allows anyone to access them (as long as you attribute them to TF), so if you want to build your own free app to access the trails then there's nothing stopping you! Trailforks costs money to operate, you can't eat your cake and have it too.

If it's the same as the Garmin, then the difference is that all the Trailforks trails are now visible on the map - with the standard Trailforks app you can download the GPX of a route you've made but it doesn't show you the rest of the trails. You also get stuff like "forksight" where it'll show you which Trailforks trails are ahead of you.
