'Almost Every Step Is Painful' - Kurt Sorge Opens Up About Aftermath of Massive Crash 11 Months Ago
I can't imagine how bad that crash and the long rescue must have been. The unfortunate reality seems to be that the older you get, the longer it takes to bounce back from crashes. My four healing ribs can attest to that. I sincerely wish the best for Kurt and his family. Great rider and great guy. Healing vibes.

@HB208: It's not that simple. After 25+ years of riding, I crashed on some (what I would consider easy) local trails this summer. Four fractured ribs. One of the most painful "recovery" processes in recent memory.

Injuries Suck, But They're Part of Mountain Biking
I used to wholeheartedly agree and I still do to some extent. But as someone currently in my late 30s, after over 25 years mountain biking and about 13 years in military, the wear and tear starts to add up and can really impact your quality of life. When simple day-to-day tasks are painful because of mountain bike injuries it really causes you to question the pastime.

That's money better spent on proper trail advocacy initiatives. Look at the WMBC in Bellingham, WA. It was formed in response to the state-mandated destruction of a network of Northshore style trails. Now the WMBC supports trails in one of the most vibrant and thriving biketowns in the world.

Man do I love my home state. Unadulterated forests, local businesses, and great tourist spots. Unfortunately those same things seem to have stifled the economy to the point that many people that grew up in Vermont can barely afford to live there. And don't get me started on all the wealthy flatlanders buying up housing, just to make 'em an Airbnb for the majority of the year.

Review: Orbea's 2026 Rallon Enduro Proves Long-Travel Enduro Bikes Aren't Dead
Awesome looking bike and the adjustability makes it a real winner. But what's the warranty situation look like for owners in North America? I imagine the process of dealing with a company based in Spain would be quite a bit more difficult than one of the countless companies based in North America. I nearly bought an Orbea last year but didn't end up pulling the trigger for this very reason.
