The Pinkbike Podcast: Why Did Our Bikes Get So Big?
I think bikes are getting a little too big. I do think the recent trend has been positive but I’m starting to feel like my longest bike has some drawbacks in versatility. I’m 6ft and my longest bike is a 487mm reach. It’s excellent at high speed trails but seems a bit cumbersome on slower more tricky terrain. I couldn’t see myself getting a bike any longer and some brands are starting to get into the 490-500+mm range which would make me want to downsize the next time I purchase a new bike.

Pinkbike Poll: How Far Are You Willing to Drive to a Bike Park?
It depends how good the park is. Can only manage one trip to the local park a year but have made the 20hr drive to whistler last year and again this year.
