Weight is also a factor and probably helped the chromag since it was on the heavier side and probably why the ibis did bad since it was the lightest.

@ridedigrepeat: I really wish he would get one. He is super deserving and has been so close so many times. And if he does retire, he better keep racing hardline.

First Ride: Orbea Occam SL & LT
@RadBartTaylor: Agreed, I guess as a truly all around bike it would be good. Yeah you won’t be winning any world cups, but it would be good for local races that you do purely for the fun of it. It just seems like a fun bike that you could still go fast on.

@Bluefire: I agree. I'd like something like the grip with a remote lockout but instead I have to settle for the fit

@nickfranko: 28lbs isn't bad. That's only 2lbs heavier than my xc bike. But then again, I'm not winning

I really like that they added the remote lockout. I know quite a few people that would like the option to quickly lockout their suspension on their trail bikes, including me. If you wanted, you could probable ride this as a local race xc bike to be honest.

First Ride: SRAM's New Powertrain Motor
Although its not executed as well a shimano of boshe motor, I really like the simplicity of the whole system. It looks super easy to use and there's no cables. I looks so clean. Hopefully as it updates it'll get better, but for an entry into e-bikes? I'd say they executed it very well.

Emil deserved that win. Paul’s had “bigger tricks” but Emil’s was so technical that it far surpassed Paul’s

First Look: Pivot's New Mach 4SL
@ESKato: I agree, I bash my chainring almost once every ride and I know that would be gone on the first rock I tried to go over. You could mount it on the bottom of the top tube though which could come in handy.
