Field Trip: Giant's $2,500 Trance X Loves Slow Speed Technical Trails
I’ve not tried this one, but I have last year’s Reign 29.
I’ve found it to be an excellent climber. Not bobbling and loads of traction.

Hypersonic Blur: Kenny Smith on the Devinci Troy - Video
Yeah. Cutting switchbacks is a no-no on every trail, for every user. And three shots of an air to off-trail landing might be overkill for just a blown turn?
Sure the guy is rad, and those trails look fun, but the edits are not responsible stewardship. Maybe its just a hotter issue where I'm from...

Anyone see the spark at about 1:42? Pedal on rock strike? Maybe that wild fire BS from California wasn't BS?

Ask Pinkbike: Shoes, Stems, and 180mm DH Bikes
Uh, it seems to have slipped under the collective radar:
"Steve Peat and Greg Minnaar - a couple of guys who know a little more about DH than Nino - used 70-millimeter stems on their Santa Cruz V10s during the peak of their careers."
I know Steve retired, but Greg is still in the peak of this career. WTF, he came in 2nd LAST WEEK. He's the professor, he's tenured!

Shaken and Stirred - Crossing the Himalayas by Bike
I hiked this circuit back in 2000 and it was a rough slog most days then too. Of course I wanted my bike ('96 Bontrager) on the downs, but dragging a bike up and over the pass would have been almost too much. Its amazing to see the changes: There were no cars in Tatopani, no road into Mustang, etc.
I guess the poverty of that area slapped me in the face everyday and now reading these stories, I'd be a bit embarrassed to bring my fancy first world bike into their midst. Most folks were struggling to survive and bikers are there to play on 1st world toys.
