Been loving my lowdown. This would likely be a great all rounder.

@safetymeeting: everything he said could have been said in an interview before the race and it would have been fine. Do not have a guy who’s at his first downhill race as part of a commentary team to talk about moto during riders runs. It was cringe.

It's obvious their just throwing Sh** at the wall and seeing what sticks. I've never quite enjoyed the commentary as much as the Red Bull team but thought Gwin did well, and Wilson, and Neko did well too. It's just clear they don't have a clear view on who or how this should be done to make it quality, but bringing on Ken and talking about Moto during the race was BS. It's like they were trying to appeal to moto riders who just happened to catch the race?

While the new format gives a little extra excitement with a Q2, the Q2 times were faster than Q1. Part of that is I'm sure the track drying out a bit and getting faster, but I could also see Kolb or Gwin throwing down a heater, us seeing only a partial run, and then no one comes close till like the last 3 riders which means that the broadcast isn't as good since we're missing a lot of what could be a podium or winning run. The track is like 3 seconds different from 1st to nearly 30th. I'm kind of sick of Leogang. I know there's limited amounts they can change things or even build new tracks. This "tight racing" isn't actually exciting. It's literally on the woods down that's even really interesting. A rider not pumping as hard or carrying enough speed in the motorway isn't interesting racing. New tracks please. More corners and give the riders a track with lines and something to seperate themselves.

Yeah while the steeper bit in the woods was a nice addition a few years ago, and rain making that section more fun to watch the rest of the track is compete bore. Everyone says it's more fun when racing is tight, but when we're talking about 3 seconds over 3 minutes deciding 1st from nearly 30th there's not a lot to separate riders. New track or a new venue. Then again the world cup is almost all in Europe. Would be cool to see more newer tracks and venues and ditch places like Leogang if they run the same track for 5 years.

To be fair, their cable actuated stuff shifts fast and doesn't cost that much.
