The tensioner is from Pinion AFAIK, the other new DH gearbox bikes are running them too. Looks like a big improvement on the previous underslung design which is very prone to rock strikes.

Can't they find someone to race it in an EWS round? Like Brian Cahal or something? That would be amazing.

It's very important, 2 or 3 pedal strokes from an almost stop after an awkward corner vs. sprinting on a motorway like at Leogang or Fort William. You'd lose masses of time with single speed. Would be fine for freeride or cruising with friends at the bike park though, milliseconds don't matter so much there.

Awesome that so many more manufacturers are building gearbox bikes. On these designs it looks like two of the weak points of the gearbox have been resolved: 1. That the case is vulnerable to being smashed by rocks. As far as I know all of these frames have designed a skid plate under the gearbox 2. That the belt tensioner hung too low. It looks like Pinion has come up with a new design where the tensioning mechanism is out of the way, behind the gearbox. This technology is such a huge improvement for DH and Enduro bikes where weight isn't such a big issue. I've had a few years with a Zerode Katipo as my only bike, recently I bought a lighter trail bike with a derailer and I've completely forgotten how exposed the derailer is. On my last ride I hit the derailer on two rocks simply because I'm not used to babying it anymore. Considering the derailer in line choice really just sinks in and becomes second nature, not for me anymore 😅

They have regulated it. The Fox speed suit very carefully works around those regulations.

Depends what pressures you run though. If you love the grip afforded by lower pressures, inserts sure make it a lot more fun, safe and comfortable to play that game.

Looks great, I'm a low pressure fanatic and love running Rimpact on my enduro bike, seems like this addresses the pain points of weight and installation difficulty really well!

WOW it already needs a bleed before you take it out of the box (and presumably a bleed won't even fix the squishiness??). AND it doesn't include a remote. AND it costs a buttload. Just buy OneUp or BikeYoke, seriously.
