May 19, 2016Surly Karate Monkey
$500 USDSurly Karate Monkey complete bike for sale. A very versatile bike with a 16" steel frame that works well on trail, commuting, or touring. Can be set up as a single-speed or geared bike and has been ridden with 700 x 28 tires all the way to 29 x 2.3 tires. Currently, it is set up with a 1x9 drive train (36-tooth chain ring and XT cassette), using a Shimano XTR real derailleur and a Paul Components chain guide up front. The front wheel is a WTB LaserDisc Trail 29 wheel and the rear wheel is a WTB Dual Duty 29 wheel. The fork is the stock Surly steel fork that came with the bike. It also has the stock Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes, that still work well, and are easy to maintain. Both the steel frame and fork soak up bumps, roots, and rocks well. I also have a barely used WTB LaserDisc Trail Singlespeed (SS) wheel with a threaded 16-tooth cog, brand new SS chain, and Surly chain tensioner. I am willing to throw in the singlespeed option for only $100 more ($600 total). Or I am willing to switch out the current setup and put on the singlespeed setup for the same $500 price. Although I love this bike, it has not been ridden much in the past couple of years, and it is ready for someone else's adventures.

Oct 12, 2015Yeti AS-R Aluminum/Carbon (Race Build)
$900 USD2008 Yeti AS-R Aluminum/Carbon (Race Build), full-suspension, 26" Medium gold-colored mountain bike. It has been well-maintained over the years, including seasonal tune-ups and new cable/housing and chain. It's aluminum-carbon (rear triangle), anodized frame weighs in at only 4.7 pounds. Added to the frame is an XT/XTR groupset, with a Fox F100 RLC fork, Fox RP23 (100mm) rear shock, and DT Swiss 370 wheels. Easton Monkeylite carbon bars, a Thomson stem, and a Crank Brothers Joplin 4 seat dropper (included in the sale) complete the build. The XT crankset and cassette were new two years ago. I also recently put a new XT brake (lever and caliper) on the rear and a new WTB Velociraptor tire on the rear. The fork shows wear, but has been serviced a few times by Fox over the years and had new seals installed a year agol. This bike is very efficient on climbs, quick and nimble on the downhill, and a great all-around bike for trail riding. Pedals not included.
