@Capable: You are only looking at a very narrow piece of quality of life. France has double the unemployment rate of the US and 6 times the rate if you look at the youth unemployment. It is still much easier to achieve financial success and independence in the US than Europe. Pretty much all drugs are developed in the US and we get screwed to subsidize Europe, that is true.
