Jan 1, 2023Kona Unit 29 - Size Large
$500 CAD2009 Kona Unit in size Large
Bike has seen limited hours but has the normal wear and tear of something that has been floating around in a garage for years.
***Please note that condition drop-down menu doesn't seem to be working properly - this is "GOOD, USED MECHANICALLY SOUND"
Some wear/corrosion on the RH master cylinder but brakes work fine. Will include a pair of Avid BB7 MTB calipers if the buyer wants to go that route.
I picked it up as a single speed gravel/commuter project but it’s just languishing.
Pick up in North Vancouver.
$500
*NB: QR seat collar in photos is dead. Have swapped for bolt-on Kona seat collar.

Nov 12, 2022Cetma Bakfiets Cargo Bike
$4000 CADMade in Eugene, Oregon, this is a well-used, well-maintained, custom-spec. Cetma Bakfiets cargo bike (https://cetmacargo.com/products/cargo-bikes).
(It's been de-badged because I didn't want to answer any more questions about Cetma - this particular one really exists)
The price includes the wooden cargo box and tent, both of which are in okay condition, by which I mean they work great but they look rough.
SPEC:
The front wheel is 20" and is a DT/Hugi hub laced to a Velocity Rim. The rear wheel is a 26" Shimano XT laced to a WTB. The bike can clear a 27" rear wheel if that's your preference.
Drivetrain is Shimano XT 11-speed mated to a SunRace 11-46t cassette. There's one crappy (slow & heavy) shift in the middle of the cassette because Cetma-guy couldn't follow the basic standards for derailleur hanger placement but after the first ride, it's an afterthought.
Braking is handled by a set of Magura MT5 four-piston hydraulic brakes (180mm front rotor / 203mm rear rotor). Levers have been swapped from metal to plastic as it's more comfortable for commuting when the temperatures drop.
Handlebar is a cut SQlab 30X -16° (trimmed to fit inside the cover) and the stem is a nice ProTaper 31mm.
Price includes rear rack and the fender set.
I bought the bike used - and well-loved - from Clint at Velo Star (https://velostarcafe.com/) and I've logged many hard miles on it but also maintained and upgraded it over that time. The price reflects both these facts.
----
This rig has never been used as an e-bike but it's easily beefy enough if you want to rig it up with a rear wheel motor or mid-frame motor add-on.
----
The bike is available for pick-up in North Vancouver. I'm very happy to answer any serious questions and respond to any serious offers but won't answer messages that aren't either.
