UCI Announces 2024 World Cup Calendar
"Next up will be North America, with the cross-country racers finishing their season at Lake Placid, a two-time Winter Olympics venue but first-time World Cup one, and the downhill riders will have their final showdown at Mont-Sainte-Anne"
The schedule right below that quote shows both XC and DH at MSA?.. Only one can be right.

Yes, because as we all know, cotton breathes well, doesn't get too wet and stick to you, and dries sooo fast.

@Jmac888: Definitely not better for speed and efficiency, as you end up bouncing on top and off of things, instead of tires being able to absorb many of them, remain in contact and keep traction. That costs time, more fatigue over time and can actually be harder to maintain your exact planned/desired line which can lead to more lost time or potential crash. Of course, it's a fine line between also keeping the pressure high enough to prevent flats and damage to tires/wheels.

Video: Red Bull Launches New 'Beyond the Line' World Cup Show with Rob Warner, Eliot Jackson & Emily Batty
While I mostly agree (about lack of marked overall improvement given that it's a paid thing now), to be fair there are some positive changes/additions now - like a much longer post-race coverage, including actual podium ceremonies, which we never had before. And more interviews with racers before and podium's top three afterwards.

@mrkkbb: "Could GCN not figure out how to fast forward with a preview as you scroll?" - This! Veeery annoying, indeed. I can't think of another player/streaming platform these days, that doesn't allow for real-time preview as you fast forward or rewind.
As for the quality of the commentary (and I'm mostly addressing XCO here, as that's what I watch), pre- and during races, as much as it leaves much to be desired - from Kate Mason's obvious lack of any cycling background and often awkward on-screen manner and how she treats the racers they had just interviewed, pretty much shooing them away when the interview is done (see Jenny Rissveds a couple races ago or even Nino last time), through Josh's mid-race "informative" interludes/segments that I guess are thought to add to the experience, but are a distraction and may cause the broadcast to miss something important instead, to the recent Euro Champs with just bad commentary (where one of the commentators suggested that since racers where forced to run up a steep, slick/muddy section every lap, maybe it would've been more beneficial for them to wear something other than stiff carbon shoes) - I think many here were prepared for far worse, when the change of guard from Red Bull was first announced. Everybody was predicting doom and gloom and pretty much the death of racing. At least we still have Bart's voice that we all got used to. And coverage itself is not that bad, either. While they still miss some stuff due to cameras not being there (so did Red Bull before), I think drones add a very cool, new perspective.

Not to mention, Josh Dubau *just* missed out on the 3rd place in a sprint with Dascalu in the most recent WC race that the article talks about, in Val di Sole. Strange that they wouldn't bring it up, since he rode the same bike. Not too bad for a new "house brand" bike - 4th and 6th place.

@kusa: 27 PSI does not make more sense here. There's no way any of those XCO WC racers run 27 PSI. 19 PSI sounds right and it can easily belower for different riders and bike set ups.
