[Updated] Video Round Up: Highlights, POVs & More from the Les Gets DH World Champs 2022
Why are all these teams/companies uploading 25fps POV videos? That's not enough frames for videos with such high speed movement. Dante Silva (Canyon) is the only one using 60fps, and the quality is so much better that it makes all the others borderline unwatchable.
Pinkbike, your course preview from Lourdes this year looked amazing in 4k50fps. It is a lot smoother and you get a better feeling of how the bike moves through the terrain compared to the 25fps you have used since. And now you have also downgraded resolution to 1080p which makes it pixelated/blurry at times. Unless the video is still being processed somehow.
You don't need to post everything in 4k, but please note that there is a huge jump in quality from 1080p to 1440p when uploading to youtube. 1440p makes youtube use better codec/compression and it gives you a higher bitrate.
Sorry for the rant. I've been annoyed by these low fps POV videos for a while. Especially when the official GoPro youtube channel keeps uploading 4k25fps videos while promoting cameras that can record in 4k120fps
