Banshee bikes' rider, Pat Campbell-Jenner hits up the mountain biking dream island of Madeira for some winter sun and dust aboard his Banshee Rune.
Big thanks to

The variety of trails is one of the best things about the Island
The Rune took everything we could throw at it like a trooper
High up above the tree line in the sun

Notice he avoided the "E" word in his description of the Rune...

I'm so happy you noticed this.
(Mar 12, 2015 at 14:22)
Shit guys, I don't get it. Why shouldn't I use the "E" word?? What's wrong with E*****?
(Mar 9, 2015 at 13:39)
Great video! Love my Rune and I am glad to see Banshee getting behind more riders it seems!
(Mar 9, 2015 at 17:11)
Great work boys! Treating Madeira as it deserves, thanks a lot! VOD!
(Mar 9, 2015 at 13:29)
That got me stoked! So fast but flowy. ........ I can dream
(Mar 9, 2015 at 13:13)
Those trails look so fun! Man, I need to move somewhere with better trails
Oh and some really impressive riding as well!
(Mar 9, 2015 at 13:15)
you just broke the rule thanks ...................
(Mar 9, 2015 at 13:42)
Sorry to disappoint

Move to madeira. Most of the people there speak english, the riding is amazing (1900m ELEVATION!!!!) and the weather is great. In the winter it gets a bit more rainy but it's still reasonably warm and it doesn't rain that much (probably less than polish summer). It's not too hot in the summer, the people are great, the food is great. The only problem is if you want to live in a big city - the biggest city there is 250k people. Not that small but still it's not new york or berlin
(Mar 12, 2015 at 13:55)
Sounds like heaven! Big cities are over rated in my opinion. I'm living in a big city now and I would so much rather have good riding than good restaurants. Sign me up!
(Mar 13, 2015 at 4:58)
That's the problem is that I like big cities but I kinda have no choice given I can get a job in max 2 cities per country given my profesion. Still I really recommend it. I will probably go back to Madeira soon
(Mar 9, 2015 at 15:49)
rode those trails last August. it's good as it looks. sadly I fear I did not look so good, especially after a fast dusty wipeout. I lookedlike I'd been hit by a landmine! still smiling tho:-)
(Mar 9, 2015 at 12:50)
Added to the bike to ride at least one time in my life !
(Mar 11, 2015 at 6:58)
Talk to freeride madeira guys. Went for 2 days guided with them and wasn't dissapointed. Amazing people and great riding.
(Mar 10, 2015 at 12:01)
awesome riding awesome place but c'mon maaan!.... you cant call the uk boring, it has some of the best riding in the world! don't let a bit of rain put you off, infact sometimes i prefer getting pinned in the wet and mud cos thats what its all about!
(Mar 11, 2015 at 1:42)
Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm up for riding in the wet, but every ride for the last two months has been in the rain and it grinds you down. Madeira was the break that I needed!
(Mar 10, 2015 at 2:33)
I love Banshee bikes, I'm seriously eyeing up a Spitfire. But the lack of bottle cage concerns me more than it should! What do I do?! :O
(Mar 10, 2015 at 6:25)
