Revel Bikes Launches Concept Labs to Showcase Experimental Development
Such a bummer for the Revel team who was living in Carbondale/Aspen and had to relocate to Golden to keep their jobs. From the mountains to the Front Range... oof.

Why Arc’teryx Thinks It Can Outperform Established MTB Brands
I'm sorry, but anyone who tells you Gore-Tex is sufficiently breathable for mountain biking (or any other aerobic effort) is feeding you marketing BS. I swear by Gore-Tex for winter sports, but for riding bikes, I'd much prefer a plastic bag with huge pit zips. The concept of brands charging ski outerwear prices for bike clothing bothers me.

The Same But Different: Race Face Releases New Turbine Stem
Anyone else old enough to remember when the Easton MTB catalog merged into Race Face's and the Easton Haven 35 stem became what then had a 13-year run as the outgoing Race Face Turbine R? I thought that stem design was going to outlast the current iteration of Shimano Saint.

Pinkbike Poll: Is In-Frame Storage Worth It?
I have it, I use it, but I MUCH prefer the simplicity of a OneUp EDC pump mounted under my water bottle and a spare tube strapped to my frame with a ski strap. My bike's in-frame storage isn't watertight (I assume water leaks through the cable ports, pivots, seat clamp), and I learned that lesson the hard way when my bike was new and I went to grab my multi-tool and discovered it was completely rusted and my neoprene storage bags were soaked and stinky and moldy. Now I'm paranoid about my bike getting wet, and it turns into a bit of a process to remove the bags from my frame and let them and the storage compartment air dry every time I wash my bike or go for a damp ride.

Updated: YT Industries Reinstates Warranty Support in the US
I posted this message below, then realized it will probably get more eyeballs on it if I reply to this message...
I can confirm that warranty support for the US *appears* to be back in action. A week ago I received a polite and professional reply to a warranty email I had sent in mid-November. (I was in the middle of a warranty claim with YT USA when they shut down.) YT has a fellow named Chris based in the UK currently working to get US customers back on track with their warranty issues, and after exchanging a couple emails with him, he is FAR more helpful and friendly than the previous incarnation of YT USA's customer service team. I'm feeling optimistic that I'm finally going to get my warranty parts.

Hayes Dominion A4 Brake Review: Ultra-Light Lever Action and Plenty of Power
They definitely borrowed their contact point adjustment technology from Shimano, because neither does a damn thing.
