First Ride: Atherton S170 - Long Travel & Lugged Aluminum
@Compositepro: Or is the headtube "storage" hole purely there for accessing the internals for machining? Seems like it would be really hard to hollow that lug out without it?

Had suspension service at TF tuned and new frame bearings in November 2021 and still running smooth.
New headset bearings and bottom bracket less than 5 rides old. Bike hasn't been ridden since May due to injury.
Mechanically the bike is absolutely solid, always been cleaned and lubed properly after every ride, the bike wants for nothing at the minute. Only niggle is a couple of light scratches in the left hand fork stanchion, I've had these looked at by a couple of bike shops and TF Tuned and they all said they weren't deep enough to cause any massive trouble, just means the fork needs serviced at the proper intervals. They're not causing any visible damage to the seals etc.
Visually there's a few paint chips on the top tube and the normal chain slap etc, but no dents etc. I've tried to take photos of everything best I could. Downtube is protected with heli tape.
I'm 5'11" and the size feels bang on for me, so I'd say the large should suit anyone from about 5'8" to about 6'2"
Owned for just over a year, bought it when getting back into MTB after a few years off and fell back in love with it, so selling to fund an upgrade to a newer Patrol.
These bikes won Pinkbike's MTB of the year and I can completely see why. These bikes deserve every bit of praise they get, I rode a fair few bikes before picking this one up and can honestly say it blows anything else I've ridden out the water.
Collection from Nottingham area. Happy to drive halfway to meet people or drop off within reason.
Any questions feel free to drop me a message!
Price dropped to £1300, was asking £1450. Priced to sell as I need it gone. Open to offers.

Jul 26, 2021Superstar Slackerizer EC44/28.6 ZS56/40
$30 GBPSuperstar Slackerizer
size EC44/28.6 ZS56/40 120-130mm (for tapered steerer)
Only ridden 4 times, so in very good condition. Decided the bike felt better with the standard headtube angle. The 2 degrees of head angle definitely makes a big difference to the feel of a bike, slackening the front out made the bike feel noticeably more stable and confident on steep descents. Perfect for modernizing the geometry of an older frame.
Fit the Slackerizer to adjust the headtube angle of your frame by +2 or -2 degrees. By accurately 5-axis machining the cups to create an eccentric path for your steerer through your headtube, the Slackerizer can breathe new life into a frame by tuning the geometry to your needs. Fully sealed bearings and custom made NBR seals to keep out dirt and water, offering a long lifespan in the worst conditions. An innovative retained compression ring and split crown race makes assembly easy.
New range of high quality angle adjustment headsets manufactured in the UK by Superstar's in house manufacturing facility in Lincoln. Manufactured to the highest tolerances these headsets are a perfect fit and forget multi-sealed replacement for the cheap and nasty product normally fitted to complete bikes to keep manufacturing costs down.
