First Look: Transition Launch Alloy Scout and Sentinel
@PauRexs: They had the sign right, first thing I noticed! Got a good laugh from that.

Video: Meta Power 29 vs 160E vs Range VLT vs Kenevo SL - Field Test Roundtable
@withdignityifnotalacrity: Big back country rides here in CO can require batteries larger than 625wh for sure. Some of the ebike guys I know of say that 1000+ is what's needed. They are using range extenders from people like Trail Watts or carrying full size spare batteries, which to me seems a bit crazy but I guess it beats pedaling a 50lb+ bike with a dead battery for the last part of a big back country ride.

Pinkbike Primer: Everything You Need to Know Before EWS Finale Ligure
@foggnm: I live in CO and have been to Sedona multiple times. Finale is different than either and well deserved of bucket list status. Where can you ride sick trails all day, swim in the azure blue water of the Mediterranean Sea post ride then eat amazing Italian food for dinner? All at fair value pricing because Italy.

Field Test: 2022 Norco Range VLT - The Carbon Monster Truck
Spec also needs to get the motor blow up issue under control as well. They are not exactly super reliable, but they do have the best system integration as you mention.

Field Test: 2021 Commencal Meta Power - The Aluminum Sledge Hammer
Rough around the edges - describes my experience with owning a Commencal as well. Not nearly as well thought out/produced as other brands I've owned. Still fun but there is a reason it was cheaper.

Field Test: 2022 Transition Spire - Suprisingly Versatile
I think another benefit of external routing is if you have to remove the rear part of the frame at all for any kind of service it's so much easier. With external just pull the brake caliper and clips off and go about your business replacing bearings swingarms, etc. Internal routing through the stays adds a brake bleed to the procedure.

What Does the Vietnam Covid Shutdown Mean for Carbon Bikes?
@TotalAmateur: The section 301 tariffs that Trump enacted are still in effect, so the "war" is not over. Goods from China are still hit with an additional 15% tariff on top of the standard one already in effect. Production was already moving out of China for several reasons, labor cost being one. The 301 tariffs only accelerated the move.

What Does the Vietnam Covid Shutdown Mean for Carbon Bikes?
They are way better than you probably expect. Better than some of the local production I've seen here in the USA. Source: me, having been to many factories in Vietnam and China.
