Check Out: Late Summer Gear from Race Face, Foehn & Abit
D3O do have several CE level 2 protectors, it's up to brands to then use them in their products. CE2 is mostly seen in Moto and some DH gear. Having held both the CE1 and CE2 versions of the D3O LP series knee protectors the CE2 is definitely bigger, thicker and offers less mobility. Think of it this way - CE1 is for people who don't want to crash, CE2 is for people who expect to crash. The market for CE2 MTB items is pretty small sales wise.

Review: Lazer Jackal KinetiCore Helmet
@Rockit: Thanks, also have this helmet and generally like it but the dropping visor in tech terrain put in on the bench vs. the Giro and Smith helmets I also have. Going to try this as I like how ventilated it is - significantly better than the others I just mentioned.

First Look: DT Swiss Introduces New FR 541 Rim
I've noticed that I have more tire bead cuts/failures with my DT wheelsets (have multiple sets on multiple bikes) than with some other wheels I have (Stans, WAO). Was wondering if it was a DT profile thing or just bad luck, seems it might be the former.

eMTB XC Results from the Les Gets World Champs 2022
Nat Ross is on Specialized. Must have been something like a mechanical to finish 5 laps down, dude is legit racer with solid history so finishing DFL can't be due to lack of fitness/skill.

First Impressions: Geoff Gulevich Rides The Crested Butte Bike Park
@mountainyj: The Texas is real in CB, shocked how how many cars with Texas or red plate (rental) CO tags there were in town recently - almost every home it seemed. Something worth tearing down in town is now over $1m to purchase. The Elk St. restaurant scene is a total entitled tourist disaster as well. Still great trails everywhere and the bike park was actually pretty great with some crazy well-built stuff next to some unfortunate jank. And the breakfast at Gas Cafe still rocks.

Review: The Evil Epocalypse is Equal Parts Balance & Brawn
@pedalingbobby: Look at the pit photos from Snowshoe here on PB and Vital, plenty of Shimano guys on XTR and not Saint. I've owned all three, Saint hit harder than new XTR/XT initially but I think ultimate power is about the same. I like the slightly mellower initial feel of the new gen XTR/XT as it's easier to control in slippery conditions.

Review: The Evil Epocalypse is Equal Parts Balance & Brawn
I killed a DD rear with a rim pinch (even with CushCore XC as backup protection) on my ebike in one ride this past weekend. No way an EXO lasts for even one bar of battery on chunky terrain at speed.
