Durango's ride season is decently long, probably 8+ months and there are lots of ride spots in warmer temps that are a short drive away south and west of there.

Neoshell is being discontinued by Polartec due to the upcoming PFAS regulations. Same for much of what is currently available from Goretex like Shakedry and Windstopper. Lots of change coming in this space. If you like this stuff buy it now as it won't be available in the near future.

That said the fact that it's profile is pretty similar to other bikes is a function of where we're at right now in bike design, there is a proven formula for what works.

Line up valve stem hole, tape new rim to old busted rim, walk spokes over to the new rim one at a time. Fastest way to replace a rim with like for like.

Tech Randoms: Nove Mesto XC World Cup 2023
They make some nice RC stuff which they make themselves in their own factory, the tools are not just rebranded stuff from someone else. I prefer MIP tools myself though, made in the USA.
