Replay: Downhill - Crankworx Rotorua 2024
My first thoughts are that I hope BK is OK and back riding and making more LSD videos soon. My thoughts on the crash are this..... In his Hardline Tasmania videos he mentioned bending pedals several times so we're these because of pedals strikes or very heavy landings from jumps ?. The super slow motion shots of his landing from the road gap test did show a lot of flex so coupled with the pedal damage was the frame checked afterwards ?. I suppose with it being a prototype design this has added another job role to the busiest man in mountain biking that of Test Pilot, it's just very unfortunate that the frame suffered this failure on live TV and not during a private testing session.

Custom Cannondale Prophet

$400 GBP
Due to lack of use and an ageing owner it's time to sell my custom Cannondale Prophet. Those in the know will know just how good a Prophet frame is....a design classic, with its adjustable head angle and no loss of rear travel it's a peach to ride. Full Spec is..... FRAME: Cannondale Prophet in "Gloss Galvanise" ( lots of heli tape so very few scuffs). SIZE: 17.5" medium. FORKS: Rock Shox Sektor R upgraded with adjustable compression damper, tapered steerer, Qr dropouts. REAR SHOCK: Manitou Swinger 3 way serviced by my self (C&G Bicycle Mechanic) using a genuine Manitou service kit and Motorex oil. HEADSET: Hope mix n match tapered internal/external. STEM: DMR Defy. HANDLEBARS: Renthal Fatbar lite. GRIPS: Renthal SHIFTER: Shimano Zee 10 speed. BRAKES: Magura MT4. CRANKS: Shimano Deore (slightly scuffed) CHAIN RING: Hope wide-narrow 30t. WHEELS: Superstar AMX 32h rims on Tesla hubs 9&10mm Qr axles ( some scratching on rim edges) TYRES: none fitted due to my son "borrowing" them. REAR MECH: Shimano Zee SEAT POST: Kalloy (Scratched...dropper borrowed by son) SEAT POST CLAMP: Hope. SADDLE: WTB Pure Vee All the bolts fixing the disc rotors to the hubs and several others have been replaced with titanium. So there it is, a good solid spec bike with reliable compnents that's a hoot to ride and doesn't deserve to be sat in the shed. I would prefer collection from East Sussex but can post if needed.

Nuke Proof Scalp - Eurobike 2010
Another awesome Brant Richards frame design, you can just tell from looking at it that it will be a peach to point down a hill. I`ve been waiting for more Scalp info after reading the article in Dirt magazine a few months ago. The big manufacturers must be quaking in their boots, the best looking bike for ages designed in a garden shed in Calderdale,Yorkshire
