Does Red Bull Rampage Need to Change? - An Interview With Tarek Rasouli
Idk if this would work out but I feel like adding a score for the top section, (The gnarly and exposed section) for the size creativity, and gnarliness of the features. And a score for the bottom section, like tricks style and flow. Two different aspects of riding combined into one! I think that that would prevent stuff like silva's crash or Emils hip dislocation. The judges reward for mainly tricks on big stuff, and the things athletes will do to win rampage is pretty friggin nuts, so if features play a part in the scoring, Rampage would probably increase (A) safety (B) entertainment. Why? Its cool to see the creativity of a lot of these riders and the stuff they build. (C) overall hype of the event. Big sends are sick. What can I say. Take brendogs run (not sure which year but the one he hit the big on-off rock) he didn't score too high and I kinda thought (and i'm sure other people didn't) but I think he got ripped off. that thing is nuts. Big features equal big points, and I think that would make the event more sick.

Adolf Silva Confirms Serious Spinal Injury After Rampage Finals Crash - Fundraiser Launched
Also with lots of crashes with the push of bigger stuff this year like Emil getting thrown off a cliff and bienve breaking his frame in 2, wondering what's coming for next year and could this be the downfall of rampage for good?

Adolf Silva Confirms Serious Spinal Injury After Rampage Finals Crash - Fundraiser Launched
Wow. that's bad. just seeing this now, hoping for Adolf to make a full recovery. Only driving question of mine is how far is too far? People are pushing the limits so far its insane to see. With a lot of the rampage riders putting down clean runs and only scoring in the 60-70 ranges, it really only comes down to whoever puts their second thoughts to the side and straight up sends it, is MTB ever going to see and end to progression?
