No, seeing their staff out riding/building, sponsoring local events and having signs up at trail centers, and being able to apply to jobs within their company is a completely different vibe. You for sure are right about it being expensive but some people just don’t cut corners with the things they do daily like food or bikes.
By all means order a wheel set off a website like Jenson (who is starting to carry the brands you’re talking about) but realize they pay all their staff $18 an hour in a location where the average price of a 1 bedroom is 1,900.
