Hi Guys, know what you man about the slomos - busy week (this event was one of 10 just that weekend) and only had time to dump this into the laptop and bang out a quick cut. On the other hand, dh happens so quickly sometimes you miss the stresses and strains on a bike and rider, and also just how good (or not) these guys are. Not in slomo!

Please like the Facebook page, too. heaps of great pics including a awesome Bike Speedway comp last night - Yeah Boi Sick race tonight - (fundraiser for James Dodds, top Kiwi DHer who died in 2012), Dual Slalom (at the same venue we ran the 06 UCI MTB Worlds 4X), Skyline Sprint Warrior on Friday (same venue as DH and XCO in 06) and 2W Gravity Enduro on Saturday - on some of out 130 kilometres of pretty nice MTB trails...

Guerrilla Camp - The WC Privateer's Pitch
Wyn Masters was a crowd favourite at the Rotorua Bike Festival back in February. Rode in everything he could even a Street Crit - in LYCRA! Redwoods Coast (in his grots), Bike Speedway, Skyline Sprint Warrior (1st time the venue for 06 Worlds was used for MTB since the big show, 7 years ago) and NZ National Champs DH. He would have raced Gravity Enduro but it was on same day as DH.
He and Blenki turned up at BMX Rotorua one evening and the guys thought they were there to test the Jumps Jam course. Nope, they'd just rocked up to help groom it at the end of a shovel.
Spirit of MTB? Hell, yeah!

Rotorua was the location for 2006 UCI MTB & Trials Worlds, 2009 UCI Trials World Cup - final round and 2010 Singlespeed Worlds (www.rotoruasinglespeed.com).
