Grouse Mountain to Launch Lift-Accessed Bike Park in 2025
@corerider: Me and my other dentist friends also like riding Burke and Woodlot but I wouldn't pay chair lift money for those trails. I'd have to sell one of my bikes to afford that. The target audience for this investment also loves the new Cambodia rework though and Airplane Mode, Slippery Salmon etc. I guess different Mountain Bikers ride for different reasons. Let's discuss e-bikes next.

Grouse Mountain to Launch Lift-Accessed Bike Park in 2025
@woofer2609: I just don't think the Jankfest people are the crowd willing to pay to skip the Uphill Mountain Biking. Them Jankers love the Uphills and have a comment for you while passing you pushing your DH up the hill.

Video: Dakotah Norton's POV from the Canadian Open DH - Crankworx Whistler 2024
Not a stupid question at all. It's usually closed and just for Crankworx. However, last week they said on their IG when someone asked that they'll be opening it up for a short period of time after Crankworx for the first time ever. (If nobody gets seriously injured, they might do that in consecutive years moving forward then; probably/perhaps?) That said, it's way gnarlier than it looks on video. Massive track and long, too. You gotta be able to hang on to your bike all the way through the 1001 push-ups.

Grouse Mountain to Launch Lift-Accessed Bike Park in 2025
@simonlavoie: I agree with Simon. Imagine getting a local lift and the trails end up not being the type you'd pay money for riding. They should hire the guys that remade Ned's and let them design some trails for this park. At the end of the day they must cater to their audience and most uphill mountain bikers won't get Grouse Bike Park Season tickets. This is for lower mainland people with a triple crown who' d prefer avoiding some hike-a-bike in order to get more laps in: A-Line, Crank it up, Freighttrain,... type of trails. This could help S2S traffic with less of us driving up to whistler every weekend throughout summer :D
