Does Red Bull Rampage Need to Change? - An Interview With Tarek Rasouli
I don't think MTB is even in the top 5 most dangerous sports. Base jumping? Free solo climbing? High altitude mountaineering? Even BMX has had multiple top pro's have life changing spinal and TBI's. Skiers die in avalanches every year.

Look at what happened to Stephen Murray, BMX rider in the early 2000's had a bad crash on a double flip and unfortunately ended up quadrapalegic. Probably the worst risk vs reward trick in any of the extreme 2wheeled sports.

People free solo mountains and climb 8000m peaks everyday. These dudes are built different. I would rather see them pushing themselves in a event where they are going to get paid and there is medivac on standby than out in the desert with nothing but a couple friends and a camera.

@JamesJamesJamesJames: I think the 2nd run judging was wack but I don't see what it had to do with Adolfs crash. He was planning on going for the double flip all week.

First run judging was spot on, 2nd run went to shit. Between that and Adolf and Emils crashes this is the worst Rampage I can remember. Finley is the one bright spot, kid is a stud.
