Dear Trailforks Member,

On behalf of the Trailforks team, I am thrilled to have you join our growing family of outdoor enthusiasts and trail lovers. Whether you’re an avid mountain biker, hiker, dirt biker, or skier, Trailforks is here to enhance your outdoor adventures.

Trailforks was born out of a deep love for trails and the desire to create a comprehensive platform that empowers trail users worldwide. In 2011, I was getting into mountain biking and quickly realized it wasn’t easy to find reliable and up-to-date trail information and accurate maps.

This led me to envision a centralized hub where members could discover, share, and contribute to a global trail network. At the same time, this would free up trail associations around the world from having to create their own online maps and apps, so they could concentrate on trail advocacy and development.

Over the last 12 years, Trailforks has evolved into the go-to app and website for trail information for mountain bikers, hikers, and the broader community. Trailforks provides accurate and detailed trail maps and also serves as a vital resource for trail associations around the world.

We firmly believe that by partnering with trail associations, we can create a powerful network of trail advocates and stewards. Trailforks offers associations the tools they need to manage their trail systems, share important updates with the community, and gather valuable information from trail users. Together, we can work towards creating a thriving trail ecosystem that benefits everyone involved.

The Trailforks community has grown exponentially over the years, with more trails mapped, more users joining, and more features added. Our team is continuously working to improve the platform, listening to your feedback, and integrating new features that make your trail experience even more enjoyable.

We’re committed to expanding our trail network, both in terms of coverage and accuracy, so that you can confidently explore new trails wherever you are. We’ll continue to strengthen our partnerships with trail associations, providing them with the resources they need to manage and promote their trail networks effectively. And we’re investing in our app, while continuing to add new and unique features.

We also remain focused on fostering a vibrant and supportive community where our members can connect, share their experiences, and learn from one another. Through our trail reporting features, comments, events, trail karma, and more, we aim to create a space that celebrates the joy of the outdoors.

By using Trailforks to add new trails, report trail conditions, record your activities, and participate in community discussions, you’re supporting trail builders, increasing access to the trails, and helping everyone get outdoors. Together, we can create an invaluable resource that not only benefits us as individuals but also helps preserve and grow outdoor recreation.

Once again, welcome to Trailforks! We’re honored to have you as part of our community, and we cannot wait to see where your trail adventures take you. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions, suggestions, or if there's anything we can assist you with.

Happy trails!
