SHUTTLES TO START LOCATION:
Bring your couch coins, shrapnel, and belly button lint, optional shuttles will be provided for between $5-8 (tbc). There is also a few shuttles running on Friday for those who would like to pre-run the course - you must book with megan@ridingbc.com

The start and finish line will be at different locations. We will be starting at the top of the trail network to get you more elevation descending for the course!! We are aiming to have shuttle companies on hand at a very low cost to shuttle you up to the start or retrieve your vehicle at the end of the day if you choose not to work out a shuttle option with your friends. The dirt service road up to the top is well maintained and a regular vehicle can make it up no problem. If you choose to use this shuttle service then payment will be made directly to the shuttle drivers as Cycling BC Insurance does not allow bikes to be shuttled in the same vehicle as passengers so this service is separate to your registration.

REGISTRATION:
10:00am, be there or be XCsquared! (yes you can register on the day but remember its an extra $10 as of Monday May 12th at 8am - bring cash)

Address:

Look for the tents, signs and helmets with goggles!

COURSE

Here it is, the course map for both days of racing!
It is possible to pre-ride the course on Friday, as the course will be roughly marked. Please bare in mind that there may be marshals and other people working on the course. Please yield to these people. * Note the course is tentative until race day. Some tweaks and start/finish locations of the stages maybe be adjusted as we see fit while marking the course - of course all to make it more fun and exciting for you guys, but the trails will remain the same as maps.

A massive thank you to Sweet Singletrack and South Okanagan Trial Alliance for the amazing maps below. Andrew Drouin has committed some great time and work into the maps, trails and mountain biking in general in the Okanagan area. Take a look at the GPS routes that have been created on the Sweet Singletrack website - its how I found my way around these trails for the first time! Thanks Andrew!

It's a gateway to explore an area I haven't ridden before or really knew much about, fully catered for and flagged out, with a bunch of people who are stoked on riding, prizes, a long weekend, some free schwag. Worth every cent of $90. Seeya there!

The course is in excellent shape. Got a bunch of pics from yesterday at www.bushpilotbiking.com/mothers-devinci-demo-day/7452/ if you're interested.

Gnarbar has a point; you don't need to race to experience the Mice area. However, for those of you that do enjoy the challenge of racing this is arguably the best course I've ever seen. It's going to be a great long weekend.

If only my range had showed up in time for this norco sponsored event......

Saw Wade Simmons in the bike shop, just about creamed my pants with excitement, forgot what I went in for and called my buddies that are also working the Penticton Enduro stop. Then found out later he was just passing through town. Lots of depressed beers consumed to mask to pain of his 'passing'. Maybe he will turn around and come back to us. Really, we aren't THAT creepy.

the hypez are strong with this one, as with everything Enduro related. the trail network has been there a long time. a comprehensive map is available through local shops and online by subscription. to describe Arawana as a "secret" is misguided. it's a great riding area accessible to everyone for about 7 months of the year - for free. buy a guidebook, support the local Penticton bike club, spend some money at a local winery, dine at a local restaurant to support the economy. no need for a race or to spend your hard earned money on an "event". simply go and "mountain bike" on the trails like normal people do. I suspect that Enduro will eat it's own arse in a year or two

I agree with you to a point. Last weekend, I raced the Gryphon Enduro in Squamish. I'm from Squamish, and ride here all the time for free. But there is something to be said about a little healthy competition. I rode with a buddy, we chatted on the uphills, and raced eachother on the downs. Yes, I've raced DH, no, I haven't raced XC. But Enduro is a different beast, and I had a blast. Yup, I'm going to Pentiction to race this Enduro. Why? For one, I've never ridden there. Two, it's wicked fun to see if I can now beat the same friend on trails that I'm not familiar with Smile

Your right gnarbar, the trails themselves are accessible 7 months a year for free, they aren't a secret themselves but as referred to some of the best kept secret trails in BC .... eg not many people know about them, not many people travel to Penticton to ride them, not talked about all that often, which blows my mind as in my opinion they are some of the best trails in BC so it confuses me of why they aren't on people's radar's like other places in BC. Everyone I have asked 'have you ridden there before', the answer is no - I tell them they must! Yep you can ride for free and that's why many don't pay $90 to ride up and down. But if I had the change to ride a new area I haven't been to before, and not have to pull a trail map out at every intersection to figure out where to go or figure out which are the best trails to hit in such a huge trail network - then hell yeh, I would pay $90 to get a sweet 2 days of riding in with buddies. The participants in this event will be spending money in the community on accommodation, food, social night at Kettle Valley Pub, at the awards at Misconduct. A great way to show off what Penticton has to offer. But yeh for sure its not for everyone, totally agree. Thats where the local trail maps that Andrew has put together and website like sweet singletrack and guide books by the locals come in handy, for the rest of the population that aren't in to things like this. There is something for everyone out there.

Racing is the only true test of yourself. In racing there are no excuses, only the start and the finish, everything else is just talk.

Most of you coming in from out of town will likely have your hands full acquainting yourself with the Three Blind Mice race course, as it's a fairly substantial trail network. If, on the other hand, you are coming back in the future, or will be in town for a few extra days, then by all means check out www.SweetSingletrack.ca - funds from the site are funnelled right back into local trails in every imaninable way!  Wicked post! I like how the whole post is about Pinticton but the last picture before accommodations is actually Kamloops on Peterson Creek Trail, I ride it every month.

I wish i was able to go but the problem with living in one of the biggest provinces is that just because somethings in your country doesn't mean its close. By the time i got there driving it would have already started. I'm from Ontario btw

I hope this techy section near the bottom of Day 1 Stage 3 is part of the course though I'm not sure.
The gap that takes out Andy is gone - which is f_cking sad 'cause that was a sweet one!

Day 2. Bronco to Pearly Gate via Southern Dancer. I missed the top portion of Bronco by Balancing Rock. And the footage is stabilized terribly. Take some gravol before watching.
