Is "Traditional" a Good Thing When It Comes to Wheels? - Pinkbike Poll
Coming from a guy who is 230lbs, and is a rim destroyer (carbon cracks, aluminum bends), I’ll still with tried and true. I’ve broke a set of Carbon rims, didn’t like doing that, it was expensive. For me, aluminum is tried and true. Sure, I break those to, but they are a fraction of the cost to repair. Also, tried and true. My Chris King hubs. I’ve had them since 2009, they are on their 5th bike, and their sixth wheel set. I won’t go to a 157mm hub, because I can’t get a conversation kit for my current Kings, which started off as a 135mm through axle

@KNOLLYBIKES: Layman’s terms! Exactly what I needed (not SMRT when it comes to stuff like that)

Knolly Bikes Launches Fugitive 29er
I'm not sold on this 157 hub spacing. To make something stiffer, isn't shorter better? I'm still on a 142, and my other bike (Chromag Rootdown) is a 10mm QR!!!

Failing the $2,000 Bike Challenge - Opinion
@Leafs1: you won’t be disappointed. These Rootdowns handle everything you can throw at it, and more. Such a fun, capable bike!!

Failing the $2,000 Bike Challenge - Opinion
I got a used one for $2000, and it's the bike that I'll ride until it breaks, then I'll get another one. So much fun! The majority of the parts that came on it were new, or almost new, Pike DA with 6 rides on it, new in the box RF Turbine Cranks, brakes. It's the bike that never broke down last year. I've only had to replace the wheels once in 3 years!
