Ibis Launches New Vietnam Made Exie
@Mac1987: agreed, been super impressed with my Devore 12 speed though. Wish there were more brands specing it over sram budget builds.

French Authorities Give Race Organizer 3-Months' Suspended Sentence & €65,000 Fine for Damaging Nature Reserve
I maintain a trail that is occasionally raced. I would say that the destruction can be more than a season of riding in places. Folks just ride differently against the clock. The first year it was poorly taped and racers took every available off trail shortcut and caused a lot of damage. It's a local event so most racers ride the trail regularly and weren't visibly taking the same lines normally. Better taping the following year made a big difference. Racers in the lower ranked classes were riding at speeds beyond their brake control ability that resulted in damage from repeated skidding. Ruts that form tend to get followed by a higher volume of riders as normally you'd have time to repair them before they got that deep. Still think the event is great, all proceeds go to building and maintaining dh only trails in the area. In this case the paint was particularly stupid, just use tape ffs. The penalties seem a bit harsh.

First Look: Spot Bikes Launch Gen 2 Ryve 115 Downcountry Bike
Well Spot is the brand that publicly claimed that a frame failure was the riders fault in part because they weren't running the recommended low speed compression settings. I don't really expect stuff from them to make sense.

Video: Gee Atherton Rides Moab's Portal Trail
@sspiff: JeffCo wanted the exit to the right hander before opening up, the reversal was just a consequence of the following left hander no longer working. It's just a grassy bank, ride it where you want and it'll soon cut in. Don't mind it myself, the reversal is easily over come with decent corner speed and the section has greater exit speed than before.

Video: Rebulding Trails Scorched by Forest Fires in 'Rising From the Ashes'
Great to see a manufacturer supporting community trail building, immediately makes me consider buying one of their bikes. Orbea moved their HQ to Boulder and provided a large part of the funding for the front ranges hardest sanctioned trail. Very high on my list of next bikes now.

The flip chip should have allowed you to switch the front wheel to 27.5 without messing up the geo.

Say what you want about Chaos's race results he's a weapon on a bike. Wouldn't be at all surprised if his stylish edits and insta clips sell more canyons than Brosnans podiums.

First Look: Starling Cycles Adds Adjustability & Tweaks Geometry
My GG megatrail goes from 155 to 165mm and the equivalent of high/low geo adjust by moving 1 bolt. Takes 30 seconds, this seems less practical but still welcome bikes with adjustability
