Review: TRP's New TR12 Shifter and Derailleur
@commental: yep, LX, DX, XT there wasn't an XTR. Before that I think it was just LX and XT and below that was Exage Mountain, it had a metal thumb shifter but plastic brake levers. Everything else was full plastic.

Shimano missed the boat not buying Marzocchi, would be great if they could offer the OEM desks that Sram do

Review: Spot's Ryve 115 29 is a Part-Time Racer Doing Trail Bike Duty
@roma258: when that Rocky broke they just kept quiet and took it on the chin (despite the rumours of a loose axle being a factor). Spot (and also Pole) not only made up BS excuses but also attacked the rider/reviewer. In Spots case they actually suggested it was in part due to the LSC not being are the recommended setting lol.

Pinkbike Poll: How Often Do You Drive to Your Local Trails?
Couldn't agree more, plus all the good rides finish with a downhill so if you have a mechanical or a spill you can roll back to the car fix your bike/patch yourself up (or drive to the ER). Much better than a painful ride/push along the road to get home.

Spotted: Is This a New Specialized Status?
The status was a budget shredder so the name looks like it may make some sense. Same idea, less travel.

Review: Yeti SB140 - Little Wheels & Lots of Fun
@hamncheez: yeah that's what I have. They used to have a secret menu with these options, it's just a $30 upcharge for wheel restocking to get the mullet setup on the Megatrail and shred dog

Review: Yeti SB140 - Little Wheels & Lots of Fun
@hamncheez: you could buy a Guerilla Gravity Shred Dog (GGs 140mm 27.5) and buy it as a mullet. No messing around and because they use different lower headset cups for different wheel sizes you can mostly preserve the Geo without dropping fork travel. I have the Megatrail set up this way and it's awesome

Cotic Launches the RocketMAX Gen3
Supporting local industry is an investment in your direct economy. If I still lived in Sheffield I'd own a Cotic. Live in Colorado now so I own a Guerilla Gravity

Review: Deviate Highlander - There Can Only Be One
@roma258: Look at Guerilla Gravity, you can flip the headset to change reach +/-10mm in all sizes, made in the US too!
