SRAM Eagle Electronic Shifting Spotted on Nino Schurter's Scott
@sethius: I think this is a response to the next wave of Shimano genius coming that integrates shocks, seatposts and derailleurs all with electronics. I shudder to think what that will cost.$15K?

SRAM Eagle Electronic Shifting Spotted on Nino Schurter's Scott
I gotta think this one is a tough sell. I get it if you run a 2x drivetrain. Then you can bundle shifts (Shimano) with programming to avoid crossovers. But on my 1X Eagle it is pretty effortless shifting with a cable. I cannot see the expense of Etap being worth the potential issues. Unless your planning to go back to 2x?

North American Handmade Bicycle Show - Judged Competition Results
@seraph:While you may not think of it as a touring bike. But lower BB, longer WB, Taller HT sounds like a touring bike except for the cool CF fork and no raked out Tange blades and a shitload of braze-ons for racks. Discs cross all categories these days.

If Pole showed up they'd all shit their pants. That said the Blacksheep thing is nicely done and unique in a wierd Brooks saddle / 1970's way.

North American Handmade Bicycle Show - Judged Competition Results
@necros: A gravel bike is essentially a touring bike. But "Touring" doesn't sell so they renamed it "Gravel" strapped on some CF forks and gave it some additional tire clearance.

North American Handmade Bicycle Show 2018
I'm sorry the "talent" at that show is minimal (S.Potts, Andrews, and a few more names that escape me).But mostly what I see is a lot of desperation to make something stand out with minimal talent and resources. Mostly poser gear.

Carbon vs Aluminum: Separating Environmental Fact From Fiction in the Frame Materials Debate
@WAKIdesigns: It's called the American dream. Much of America would NEVER live in a crowded urban city. We enjoy the vast expanses in our huge SUV's ( I literlally have 2 of them and a truck) ....oh and the relatively crime/stress free life compared to living in a city. My MTB riding is right out my front door. WAKI- Can I upvote that comment 1000 times?
