Amaury Pierron Will Take Part in Practice at the 2025 La Thuile DH World Cup
Commencal Mucoff has quite a history of sending / allowing their athletes (not sure which is it) to go back racing really soon after injuries. And more often than not, it doesn't end well for them. You'd think they would learn from the past mistakes, but I guess they won't. At this point, after so many stories of athletes coming back too early and ending up hurting themselves even more, it just makes me sick. I want to see my idols race at their full potential, not scraping to get by for minimum points, while risking further injury. Some people here wrote "he'll be fine, the plate is stronger than the bone". See, that can be a problem. The plate might be fine after a crash, or maybe just bent a little, but the surrounding bone can break in new places, which will make fixing this in another surgery and the healing process as a whole, much harder. And yes, I am a doctor, actual MD, so I guess I do have a say in this :p Edit: I do understand he's not planning to race, I do. But really, what's the point then? A new, steep and technical track, so there's plenty of opportunities for mishaps. Not wise in my books.
