Spotted: New Tire from Maxxis
In line w the Tacky Chan - a cut spike that rolls fast with better corner knobs than the Shorty. Seems great for racing on current World Cup tracks.

First Ride: SRAM's New GX Transmission
I swear this is about the price I paid for 11 speed XTR and fancy machined Sram cassette. $1100 for a drivetrain is not cheap.

XTR M9000 RD $180
XTR 11 sp chain $45
XTR M9000 R shifter $125
XTR M9000 single crankset $425
XTR 11 sp cassette $250 (Sram XG1199 about the same)
Total $1025
To be fair, I believe retail was a few hundred higher, but I never found I had to pay retail if I was patient and shopped around a bit.
Hard to swallow paying same for GX just because it’s wireless. It’s lower quality, lower performance, and a crap-ton heavier. And uglier.

@rowdyhonzo: yeah, but lots of people inherited Reverbs on their complete bike purchases, new or old, and didn’t feel loyalty when sharing their experience. Most people with an ACS are choosing to spend large sums of $$$ on it, so justification bias might be tainting your reporting.
