I live in a summer rainfall area. Winter is bone-dry.

Snow and rain doesn't stop me, but some weather does: lightning and hail storms, for example.

Initially we had velocipede and differentiated "safety bike" and "penny farthing" Then race bike (which would now be a gravel bike) and bike (which meant commuter) Later road bike, track bike, cross bike, mountain bike, trials bike, jump bike (now dj) Mountain bike then became xc mountain bike, trail bike, downhill bike. And we added time trial bike and gravel bike. Do you really want to now relabel everything "analog xc mountain bike", "unassisted road bike", "legacy time trial bike" ? Velocipede is "fast foot". Lets go back there.

@Brasher: That's assuming a bar with no rise, and no upsweep, and the backsweep as an arc instead of at an angle. And a 0 degree stem, although most (all?) short stems are 0 degrees. You could add rise and upsweep if it's always installed perfectly parallel to the head tube, which it never is.
