Ask Pinkbike: Ditching the Pack, Wheel Trouble, and Prototype Tires
Am I off my rocker or are people packing WAY to much stuff?
A tube, a multitool, spare master link and a little pump or C02 cart....What else is there?
I fear people are not maintaining and prepping their bikes well enough if they're bringing more than that.

This is an RC2 DH. You are correct about the variety of damping control options, but this fork is an 2011 RC2 DH from the factory. There has not been any mix-matching of parts. The floodgate works differently on this model than the 2012 you are referring to in your link.

If you've ridden a Lyric RC2 DH before, you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, here's your opportunity to start winning races. This fork is easy to tune, rides exceptionally well, and requires very very little maintenance.
I'll throw in the hard, medium, and soft springs with this. I know she's not what you would call a "looker" but don't let that fool you. It's solid and performs outstanding.
Steer tube is tapered and cut at 7" even.
