football is an amazing sport, i dont watch it on tv, but i love to play it. i also love dh, enduro, xc. like mountain biking it requires some skill, strenght and stamina. this is pointless

Yea u. Can be right on the simmulator part, but that's not all of them, some soccer players can take some serious kicks on their legs just like some Riders can take a serious crash. I play soccer and I ride bikes, so I can give my opinion on both sides

Football is a great sport and I enjoy playing it as much as my bike. It`s sad that the competitive or professional side of the sport has taken this road. Playing football every saturday is one of the best moments of my weekend. I found the video really funny, but don't let 3 dirty images make you hate a sport that's played with such passion by millions of people.

Yeah dh takes more balls and yes, there is unfortunately a fair bit of acting and people generally being pussy's in football but let's remember it still takes a lot of skill, determination, training and love for the sport to become one of the best in the world! I'm just like the rest of you, my sport is biking. Every penny i get is spent on my bike and there is nothing else id rather spend it on. professional soccer can be a complete joke but you shouldn't let that ruin the whole sport for you. I used to play but the older i grew the more interested i became in biking. Soccer is still a lot of fun if you play with the right people. i played for about 8 years and i can honestly say i never saw any one take a fall like what you see on these videos. It is a great gateway sport, you get kids playing soccer and off the couch. Keeps kids active and physically skilled. Soccer teaches you strength, speed, agility and finesse which are perfect building block skills for mountain biking.

Maybe 50% of pro soccer players are pussy's, go out and watch a beer league game in your community. Out of ALL soccer players id say maybe 3% of them are pussy's. The reason you see them take falls in the pro league is for the calls. if the ref calls it has a small benefit for the team, thats why you never see it in anything but pro soccer. No one cares enough to fake an injury just for a small bonus for their team. If im getting paid millions of dollars to fake it, thats another story. You have clearly never played the sport (outside of gym class) and do not know enough people to call 50% of them pussy's. you should seriously go out and watch a U-18 or beer league game.

I don't like the concept that its in an enclosed stadium people shouting fights hate to each other just because they want to put an inflatable ball in a net. Whereas riding I love because its in nature, the zone of which you enter when riding, being out with mates and seeing another person you don't start shouting and acting as though they just tried to kill you but instead we ride together. I just find that the people in the sports are significantly different.

To ride FR/DH you need to have big determination to get money on bike also you have to be pretty brave.
If you want play soccer you dont have to care about anything because everywhere are fields and etc.

Someone should make a different edit of this, showing the skill factor that downhill mtb riders have, and how much more interesting it is than watching football on tv (not saying they should stop playing football on tv because that will never happen) but at least get Downhill on tv cos it bloody well needs a good reputation from all the people that don't know about the sport, they don't know what they're missing out on! Infact I might do this my self....

It's not the most popular because soccer has spread to almost every country in the world unlike basketball which is still unheard of in many parts of the world. I just find basketball more fun to watch than soccer I'm not speaking for anybody else. No reason to hate a sport unless its NASCAR.

Football players are actors. A good portion of scoring is based on deception and pretending. It leaves you with a bitter feeling and a good arguing point. Football is not a pure sport because you can win a game while not playing the rules!

Football is so cliche! People that haven't had the opportunity to get into a rad sport like biking or surfing etc will normally fall victim to football because that's likely all they know or are subjected to at school and on TV. Sad really. I don't mind football but I don't think it's worth nearly as much hype as it gets, but then again maybe it's because it's so easy to understand that it appeals the masses of planks out there.

Profession soccer is BS because of the dives, yes... Still, it seems like most of you have never enjoyed a game of, say, chess in your lives. Things other than launching off cliffs can be enjoyable too, and I'd like to see a MTB guy out run a soccer player, especially over long distances. Love and tolerate

I used to play soccer, and ride DH. I liked the sport, played goalie for ever and also played mid field. When I was playin soccer as goalie when i was 15, I dove down to grab the ball from under the guys feet as he was going to shoot, I took the ball to my stomach, and his foot to my face. I got a bloody nose and my stomach hurt like a bitch, I wanted to throw up. I stood up with the ball, told the FM to get the fuck away from me, kicked the ball to the end of the field and we scored. When I got home I found out I broke my nose, straightened it out, put my helmet on and went DH'lling. I quit cause I couldn't ride as much

Football and basketball players are highly over rated as heros nowadays when they aren't, but if 6ou like the sport you'll have them as heros (Semenuk or Pilgrim at the biking scene) yes they are overpayed and they invest too much I'd say that a little push to biking (lets say 2 milions/year) wouldn't hurt but we would end having the same fanboys as futball or basket because those sports have a massive amount of followers in comparison to biking

I really don't like the video. it is true that you cannot fake a fall in MTB, you either fall off the bike or you do not. The point is that here you omitted a lot of football scenes where players get exposed fractures or broken noses or sprain ankles, etc. I do not see a point on making this video, both sports have their dangerous things. I have been a soccer player and I am now a Mountain biker, and I love both!!!!

I reckon if they introduced a new rule where penalties and coloured cards would not be awarded for misconduct (tripping, contact and that), the sport would flow so much better and be so much more aggressive.
Its like if they bought a rule into 4x where if a guy cuts of another guy which results in a crash, the person cutting off the rider would be penalized. You would have every rider that was losing purposely crashing in the hope of having the rider in front being penalized.
