Every place has its golden times. Morzine and Les Gets’ have long gone. There was a moment around the early 2000’s to 2013ish when the balance was perfect. If you rode there then you got the golden moment. Now it’s just unadulterated shite with a million covid bikers and instagram heroes blocking up the hill and a marie that has no real idea how to handle it. Anyone who knows the resort as a ski destination knows that’s it’s time is almost over; the big chalet firms are struggling to see past 2040 as investable due to the poor snowfall. Mountain biking is supposed be the saviour of the area but as with most things, being too popular, too quickly fails to allow the area and its inhabitants to adjust and coordinate with the tourists. The secret now is to find the next place with that mix of riding, location, character, and magic. Ride there for a few years til that gets fucked to death by people and go again….such is the search.

Exceptional customer care, kit that lasts decades and beautifully made. Don’t actually think there’s a light manufacturer who comes close. There’s cheaper, but you’ll more than likely be buying two or three sets from another brand, over the same duration.
