Sheffield's Wharncliffe Trails at Risk
@matwilliams: I agree with Mat. Dalby used to be my local trails and i went back last month for the first time in a while. It used to be a hive of mountain bike activity but now they don't even get enough use to keep the bike shop open so they've moved out of the forest. The logging has been noticeable but I wouldn't say excessive. However, spending £9 a day in parking to ride trails that have barely had any money spent on updating them in years and are maintained by volunteers annoys me.

Video: An Epic Road Trip to Portes Du Soleil
This is sick, making me want to do an Alpine riding holiday even more.

Review: Cotic FlareMAX
I tested a Cotic Rocket at their HQ a few weeks ago and it was fantastic, so confidence inspiring I hit a descent for the first time at full speed and launched myself headfirst into a tree. I've tested a couple of other bikes since but nothing felt as good. Now I just need to decide which of their Droplink bikes I want to go for.

Building a Bike Trail - Video
I enjoy riding the new trail, it's not the most technical trail but good fun. Also I can ride it and Blue Steel with my girlfriend who's just getting into mountain biking. It's not like Sheffield and the surrounding area is missing gnarly trails with Grenoside, Wharncliffe and The Peak District on its door step.

Kona Coiler, lots of upgrades

$500 GBP
Selling my Kona Coiler. Lots of upgraded parts. Fox 36 Talas forks and Fox shock Avid Elixir CR brakes with 203mm rotors RaceFace Deus cranks and e-Thirteen guide ring Crank Brother 50/50 pedals XT rear mech and SLX shifter Specialized hubs with DT Swiss rims Maxis High Roller tyres RaceFace stem, Truvative handlebars and Lizard Skins grips. Condition is pretty good, obviously it's got a fair few scratches and some cable rub like all second hand mountain bikes. Only problems are the headset is a bit tight but could just need a clean and regrease and there's some play in the brake levers. Could meet anywhere between Hull and Sheffield and would consider posting at buyers expense.

This is excellent, it's so cool seeing such a top quality film from the same routes that I ride. The bit from about 9 minutes onwards really captured why I love to ride in this beautiful part of Britain.

Love this. Such a simple photo and he doesn't look to be doing overly anything extreme but loads of little things add up to make sure that you know that he is going phenomenally fast.

No this was last year. Had mine in for 6 weeks as well. They undid the allen key bolts in the fixator itself before the painkillers had kicked in which was pretty painful. The screws coming out though was very weird but painless.
