2022 Pinkbike Awards: Comeback of the Year Nominees
Both Courdurier and Balanche winning their respective overalls really speaks to how insanely tough and motivated these athletes are. Hard to choose when they both had very significant injuries, and both not only came back crazy fast but continued to ride at elite levels to secure their titles.

Final Overall Standings for the 2022 EWS Season
I feel the same, the race format unfortunately doesn't translate into something that would be easy to broadcast or be enjoyable for the average viewer. Maybe set up cameras at certain crux points where riders were puzzling over lines in practice, but I suspect the amount of effort needed to make it work is not something the EWS can justify. Downhill has short tracks so it's easier to show the majority of a rider's run but even then they usually cut out a good bit.

UCI & Warner Bros. Discovery Release 2023 World Cup and EWS Calendar
@chrismac70: maybe extend the season, add a bunch more races, and make it a 'top 5 or 6 results' type of deal? That way those who are able to go to every race can do that, but those who aren't can pick and choose the ones that are easiest to attend. I also saw mention of a potential "continent champ" series to determine the best racer on each continent, which would be interesting and offer a goal that's attainable to those who can't travel out of country

@CM999: I mean do you think there are zero privateers outside of Europe that would love to race the World Cuo circuit? I'd rather give more riders across the globe a chance at participating than financially limit it to Europe based riders and teams
