@Bro-LanDog: As a heavy rider (220lbs) and I'd say fits squarely in the expert rider category, I definitely notice a different in wheel flex, especially when I load it up really hard in a supportive turn.

This is not a roost gaurd and is really different from how they protect.
Roost gaurds for moto are essentially a medium stiffness plastic sheet across your chest to stop you being hurt by little rocks and debris.
This is padding that is designed for harder impacts. Think keeps you from rupturing a internal organs, keeps you from cracking a vertebrae. This is an oh shit it saved me from serious hospitalization pad, a roost gaurd is to help you not get pelted with little rocks and dirt.
